I see yellow everywhere, it seems to be the first colour of the year, gorse, dandelions, primroses, cowslips, egg and bacon, coltsfoot, broome ... swathes of yellow begin to cover the slag heap slopes. slithers of yellow creep into my work, and I begin to relish the contrast.
